Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a Family Worker within the Targeted Support Service to deliver targeted intervention support to children, young people and families, helping to reduce risk and keep families together.

You will work alongside Family Hubs and be on track to become a Family Help Lead Professional as Families First develops, with appointment subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check through the Disclosure and Barring Service

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted intervention support to children, young people and families
• Reduce the risk of harm to children and families
• Prevent family needs from escalating
• Strengthen family relationships and support families to stay together
• Work towards positive, sustainable outcomes for families
• Provide bespoke support packages alongside the Family Hubs provision
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
