Job summary

About the role

As a Family Hub Support Worker, you will work directly with children, parents and carers in Family Hubs, community venues and family homes. You will play a key role in delivering early help and targeted support that builds parents' confidence, strengthens family relationships and improves children’s outcomes.

No two days are the same. You may be delivering an early literacy and communication intervention, facilitating an early years group, supporting families through a one-to-one intervention, helping to deliver holiday activities, or working alongside colleagues and partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, young people, parents and carers.
• Work well with children aged 0-5 and has a good understanding of child development.
• Deliver engaging groups and individual interventions.
• Support families to identify strengths, build resilience and achieve positive change.
• Work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals including health visitors, early years providers, schools and SEND services.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor outcomes.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Help create welcoming, inclusive environments where all families feel respected, valued and able to participate.

You will have experience of working directly with families, parents, carers, and children (0-5) and be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of delivering group work, parenting support or evidence-based interventions would be particularly valuable.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
