Job summary

Barnardo's is seeking two full-time Family Support Workers to join the Family Hubs in Sandwell. The role involves working with families, children and partner agencies to deliver targeted, trauma-informed support and evidence-based interventions.

You will plan and deliver focused services, maintain GDPR-compliant records, and collaborate across teams to ensure sustainable outcomes. A valid UK driving licence is essential for travel across Sandwell.

We are seeking two full-time Family Support Workers on secondment to join our dedicated Family Hubs team across Sandwell. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a passionate, collaborative workforce and play a key role within our wider Family Hub Network.

About the Role
  • As a Family Support Worker, you will work closely with families, communities, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children. Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and relational approach, you will help ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver targeted interventions, achieving measurable KPIs and positive outcomes

Working Pattern
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends
Additional Requirements
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential, as travel across Sandwell is require
  • Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently to 31st March 2029 and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.
  • This contract is due to expire on 31st March 2029.
