Job description

Cardiff Family Advice and Support is an innovative and progressive service within the directorate of Children Services in Cardiff Council. Recently accredited with a Families First Quality Aware, the service provides high quality information, advice and assistance for infants, children, young people, families and professionals across the city.

The service utilises a family centred, strengths based and inclusive approach, to identify the most appropriate support that will meet the wellbeing needs of both individuals and the family as a whole. The teams within the service work collaboratively with a range of professionals and partners to ensure support is at the right level and at the right time.

We are seeking to appoint a Grade 7Family Gateway Team Leaderwho will jointly lead, develop and support ateam of Contact Officersto provide high quality information and advice on a wide range of wellbeing issues affecting families across the city. The postholder will liaise and communicate with service users, including families and professionals, and will also work alongside the Service Manager to support the continued development and quality of service delivery.
