Casual Family Support Worker at HMP Belmarsh

1. Role Overview: Provide support, advice, and guidance to families visiting prisoners, support the Cafe Service (a Social Enterprise), and organize play activities for children. The role involves working across multiple disciplines within the Pact Family team, based between the Visitor Centre and Visits Hall.
2. Key Responsibilities:
   • Ensure excellent customer service, treating all customers with respect and friendliness.
   • Support the Cafe Service and organize activities for children.
   • Work collaboratively across different areas of the service.
3. Eligibility: Open to current casual staff across London and SE Prisons interested in additional hours at Belmarsh.
4. Candidate Requirements:
   • Experience in customer service.
   • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a demanding workload.
   • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection.
   • Knowledge of diversity and accessibility practices.
   • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences including prisoners, families, staff, and agencies.
