Job summary

Babyzone Preston is seeking a Family Engagement Lead for Wednesdays, 8:30am to 3:00pm during term time, at Inspire Vault Youth Zone, Preston. You will greet families, help run Babyzone, support with equipment, supervise play areas, and promote a safe, welcoming space for parents and children.

This role focuses on community building, signposting local services, and ensuring smooth operations with the Head of Babyzone Preston. DBS checks are part of safeguarding compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and pack away Babyzone each Wednesday, adjust layout and hazards.
• Assist external class leads with required equipment.
• Oversee exploratory/soft play areas; keep space tidy, safe and hazard-free.
• Maintain book corner; ensure buggy parking and baby-changing facilities.
• Welcome families, engage with children, build community and signpost local services.
• Record family numbers via postcode data entry as families arrive.
• Act as point of contact for issues to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Welcome external stakeholders to Babyzone and uphold ethos and mission.
• Meet regularly with Head of Babyzone Preston to share good practice.
