Lift Clacton is recruiting a Family Liaison Officer to strengthen links between the school and families. You will help parents access support, encourage attendance, and coordinate wellbeing and nurture activities within the community and school.

The role requires sensitive engagement with families and collaboration with safeguarding and external agencies to improve outcomes. You will work in school and in the community, using data to identify patterns and tailor practical plans.

Qualifikationen

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent.
• Experience motivating students and promoting high expectations.
• Experience using data to analyse performance and inform decisions.
• Experience engaging hard-to-reach families, including home/community visits.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and education sector practices.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, families and agencies.
• Calm under pressure with strong prioritisation and communication.

Aufgaben

• Build trusting relationships with parents, carers and students, including hard-to-reach families.
• Support improved attendance by identifying causes and developing practical plans with families and staff.
• Provide guidance on parenting, behaviour, play and access to local services.
• Support students through transitions and positive engagement in school.
• Assist safeguarding by preparing reports and attending meetings.
• Collaborate with external agencies and maintain knowledge of local services.
• Utilise attendance data to identify trends and inform interventions.
