Job summary

Omega Red Group is recruiting for a Trainee Fall Protection Operative to join the Height Safety team in a field-based role across the UK. You will receive full training and work toward NVQ Working at Heights after a qualifying period, learning installation, inspection, testing and repair of height safety systems.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn, safety-minded, and willing to travel nationwide, with a proactive and reliable approach to work.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; trainee role with full training and supervision.
• Willingness to travel nationwide as part of field-based work.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with installation, testing, and inspection of height safety systems.
• Learn industry best practices and safe working procedures on various sites in the UK.
• Support project delivery and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times.
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Develop technical skills through hands-on training and formal learning opportunities.
• Contribute positively to the team and show eagerness to learn.

Omega Red Group is looking for a Trainee Fall Protection Operative to join our growing Height Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and build a long-term career within the industry, regardless of previous experience.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, receiving full training whole assisting with the installation, inspection, testing, and repair of height safety systems across a range of sites nationwide.

As part of your development, you’ll have access to industry-recognised training and qualifications, including the opportunity to work towards an NVQ training in Working at Heights following a qualifying period. If you’re motivated, safety-conscious, and eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project delivery by helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Develop technical skills through practical on-the-job training and formal learning opportunities
• Contribute positively to the team and demonstrate a willingness to learn

What You’ll Need:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• An interest in practical, hands-on work and working in a field-based environment
• A flexible approach, with willingness to travel nationwide
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence working at height, or a willingness to develop in this area
• A strong commitment to health, safety and quality

Desirable

• Experience within construction, engineering, maintenance, roofing, or other practical trades
• CSCS Card
• Previous experience working outdoors or in a field-based role
