Job summary

Omega Red Group is seeking a motivated trainee to join our Height Safety team as a Trainee Fall Protection Operative. You will learn on-the-job alongside experienced engineers, assisting with installation, testing, inspection and repair of height safety systems at sites across the UK.

We provide industry-recognised training and opportunities to qualify for an NVQ in Working at Heights after a qualifying period.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adapt to a field-based environment.
• Interest in practical, hands-on work within height safety or related trades.
• Confidence with working at height, or willingness to develop this skill.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
• Experience in construction, engineering, maintenance, roofing, or related trades may help but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with installation, testing, inspection, and repair of height safety systems.

• Support project delivery ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Trainee Fall Protection Operative

The Role

Omega Red Group is looking for a Trainee Fall Protection Operative to join our growing Height Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and build a long-term career within the industry, regardless of previous experience. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, receiving full training whole assisting with the installation, inspection, testing, and repair of height safety systems across a range of sites nationwide. As part of your development, you'll have access to industry-recognised training and qualifications, including the opportunity to work towards an NVQ training in Working at Heights following a qualifying period. Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with the installation, testing, inspection, and repair of height safety systems
• Learn industry best practices and safe working procedures while working on a variety of sites across the UK
• Support project delivery by helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Develop technical skills through practical on-the-job training and formal learning opportunities
• Contribute positively to the team and demonstrate a willingness to learn
