Job summary

Wild Recruitment in Havant is seeking a detail-oriented FAIR Inspector to join the quality team in a manufacturing environment. You will create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102, generate data packs, and review supplier FAIR documentation to ensure compliance.

You should be skilled at interpreting engineering drawings, conducting dimensional inspections with calibrated equipment, and communicating progress to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Good computer literacy and experience with quality systems.
• Experience with First Article Inspection (AS9102) desirable.
• Knowledge of Net-Inspect and/or DISCUS software advantageous.
• Methodical approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 requirements.
• Generate and maintain FAIR data packs using inspection software.
• Review supplier FAIR documentation for compliance with AS9102.
• Manage FAIR schedules in line with production requirements.
• Communicate FAIR completion status to customers.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using calibrated measuring equipment.
• Support wider inspection activities including Goods Inwards Inspection, Repairs and Returns, Final Assembly Inspection.

Location: Havant, Hampshire (On-site)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 07:45 - 16:30
Friday: 08:00 - 12:30

We are seeking a detail-oriented FAIR Inspector to join our clients Quality department in Havant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of engineering drawings and quality inspection processes who is looking to contribute to a high-performing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 requirements
• Generate and maintain FAIR data packs using inspection software
• Review supplier FAIR documentation for compliance with AS9102
• Manage FAIR schedules in line with production requirements
• Communicate FAIR completion status to customers
• Conduct dimensional inspections using calibrated measuring equipment
• Support wider inspection activities when required, including:
• Goods Inwards Inspection
• Repairs and Returns (incoming and final inspection)
• Final Assembly InspectionAbout You

About You

You will ideally have:
