Job summary

Unicorn Resourcing is seeking a Quality Inspector for a client in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on inspecting products against drawings, specifications, and customer data, with 37.5 hours per week onsite.

You will record findings, support QA engineers, and participate in internal audits. Essential skills include reading engineering drawings, measuring with calipers/micrometers, and familiarity with FAIR/AS9102. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering drawings (Essential)
• Experience with FAIR process to AS9102 would be beneficial

Quality Inspector

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £28,000 - £32,500 depending on experience

Location: Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (1pm finish Fridays) onsite

We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector for our client to ensure that products are inspected in accordance with the correct requirements, specifications, and materials as agreed upon with the customer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various departments within the business and ensuring that products supplied are manufactured in conformance with relevant design data and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve products to drawings and customers supporting documentation.
• Provide assistance and support within the business regarding product conformance.
• Operate singularly or as part of a team that optimizes inspection resources effectively.
• Record non-confirming products in a descriptive manner to assist Quality Assurance Engineers.
• Conduct internal audits within departments.

Knowledge:

• Ability to use measuring equipment such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers to inspect, test, and measure products (Essential).
• Strong proficiency in reading technical engineering drawings (Essential).
• Previous history and knowledge of FAI processes would be beneficial.
• Experience working with customer drawings and supporting documentation for correct product manufacture and assembly.
• Experience conducting internal departmental audits.
• Experience in regulatory document recording.
• Good working knowledge of Quality procedures.
• Understanding of FAIR process to AS9102 would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing quality systems (desirable)
