Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Factory Trainer for a leading chilled foods business. You will deliver practical training on operations, health & safety, and food safety, induct new starters, and drive standards.

The role reports to the Training Manager within a supportive team; you will assess shop floor performance, review SOPs, and plan training schedules, ensuring the site training matrix stays up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering structured training in a factory environment (food, drink, or FMCG preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across levels.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a busy production setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver induction training to new starters and ongoing training to staff to drive performance and compliance.
• Assess shop floor performance and support continuous improvement activities.
• Review and prepare SOPs and mentor new colleagues.
• Plan and coordinate training schedules and maintain the site training matrix.
• Collaborate with operations and production managers to identify training opportunities.

About the Role:

As Factory Trainer, you'll be delivering engaging and practical training in areas such as operations, health & safety, and food safety.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you'll be part of a supportive training team and some of your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering induction training to new-starters and ongoing training to existing staff to drive performance and ensure compliance.
• Assessing shop floor performance and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Reviewing and preparing SOPs and mentoring new colleagues.
• Planning and coordinating training schedules and ensuring the site training matrix is maintained.
• Working with operations and production managers to identify training opportunities.

About You:

• Experienced of delivering structured training in a factory environment, ideally in a food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with colleagues at all levels.
• Able to manage and prioritise your workload in busy food production environment.
• Good IT skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
