Job summary

E3recruitment is recruiting for a hands-on Factory Trainer at a leading chilled foods business in England. You’ll develop colleagues on production lines, induct new starters, and drive improvements to standards across the site.

You’ll deliver practical training across operations, health & safety, and food safety, coordinating schedules, reviewing SOPs, mentoring staff and working with managers to identify training opportunities to boost performance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering structured training in a factory environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload in a busy food production environment.
• Good IT skills with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver induction training to new starters and ongoing training to existing staff to drive performance and ensure compliance.
• Assess shop floor performance and support continuous improvement activities.
• Reviewing and preparing SOPs and mentoring new colleagues.
• Planning and coordinating training schedules and ensuring the site training matrix is maintained.
• Working with operations and production managers to identify training opportunities.

This is a hands-on factory trainer role where you’ll be developing colleagues in production, inducting new starters, and playing a key role in improving standards.

About the Role:

As Factory Trainer, you’ll be delivering engaging and practical training in areas such as operations, health & safety, and food safety.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you’ll be part of a supportive team and some of your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering induction training to new-starters and ongoing training to existing staff to drive performance and ensure compliance.
• Assessing shop floor performance and supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Reviewing and preparing SOPs and mentoring new colleagues.
• Planning and coordinating training schedules and ensuring the site training matrix is maintained.
• Working with operations and production managers to identify training opportunities.

About You:

• Experienced of delivering structured training in a factory environment, ideally in a food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with colleagues at all levels.
• Able to manage and prioritise your workload in busy food production environment.
• Good IT skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
