Job summary

McMullen Facades, part of the JRL Group, is seeking a General Operative to join the façade factory near Newark. This permanent role is based at Carlton On Trent, NG23 6NT with hours Mon–Thu 7:30am–5:30pm and Fri 7:30am–2:30pm.

You will assist in manufacturing and assembly of architectural façade components under guidance. You’ll learn to operate machinery, follow safety procedures, and contribute to a clean, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or construction is advantageous.
• Ability to learn and use hand and power tools safely.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

General Operative

Location: Carlton On Trent, NG23 6NT
Working hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30am to 5:30pm. Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm

As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as General Operatives in our facade factory. This would be a permanent role manufacturing construction components.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the manufacturing and assembly of architectural facade components, including metal framing systems, glass panels, and composite materials.


• Learn to operate machinery and equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors.


• Follow and adhere to safety procedures to maintain a secure working environment.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.


• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction-related role would be advantageous.


• Experience in using hand and power tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to new equipment quickly.


• Attention to detail and quality to ensure accurate and precise workmanship.


• Effective communication skills to follow instructions and work as a team.
