Job summary

Actio Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company for a Factory Labourer / FLT Driver. This hands-on role suits someone reliable, hardworking and comfortable in a busy production environment with clear safety expectations.

The role includes operating a forklift, unloading deliveries, cleaning and general duties with occasional local driving. It is a day shift, permanent opportunity with an immediate start for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence required.
• Experience in manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Flexible and able to undertake a variety of tasks.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and pallet truck safely and efficiently.
• Unload deliveries.
• Move equipment around the site.
• Clean workshop floors using industrial cleaning equipment and mops.
• Clean machinery and clear spills.
• General factory and workshop housekeeping, including cleaning facilities.
• Empty general waste and engineering waste.
• Perform basic DIY and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Occasional local driving duties.
• Support wider factory operations as required.

Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift and pallet truck safely and efficiently
• Unloading deliveries
• Moving equipment
• Cleaning workshop floors using industrial cleaning equipment and mops
• Cleaning machinery
• Clearing spills
• General factory and workshop housekeeping
• Cleaning the facilities
• Emptying general waste
• Emptying engineering waste
• Basic DIY and maintenance tasks
• Occasional local driving duties
• Supporting wider factory operations as required

Requirements

• Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or warehouse environment
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety

• Full UK Driving Licence desirable
