A huge part of our success stems from the continued development of our customer portfolio and we have an opportunity to join our site in Scunthorpe as Factory General Manager.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Factory General Manager to join our committed and long serving team. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing and a key member of the senior management team, you will enjoy complete leadership responsibility for the Scunthorpe manufacturing site.

What you’ll be doing:

• Run a safe site that achieves Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
• Responsible for the control of factory operations.
• Oversee production of high-quality Tayto branded and own label products to high standards and customer requirements.
• Deliver high standards of Food Safety, meeting legal, due diligence and customer requirements.
• Deliver factory operational budget consisting of Overheads, Direct Labour, Material Variance and Capex.
• Achieve agreed production plan within cost, product quality and service level.
• Direct a continuous improvement programme to achieve KPIs and objectives.
• Lead and develop the site management team.
• Provide the Group Head of Manufacturing and relevant departments with required information and to agreed timescales and standards.
• Proactively work with site Union Representatives to drive forward industrial and employee relations.

A little about you:

• Demonstrable, extensive experience of food manufacturing environments at a senior level.
• Experienced with the delivery of change management and KPIS.
• Demonstrable experience of modern manufacturing techniques.

This role is based on a 40 hour week with responsibility for the operation of the factory 24/7. You will be required to travel to our other sites within the UK and Northern Ireland as needed.
