Pets at Home is seeking a Facilities Technician for the Stafford Fulfilment Centre. The role involves maintenance of plant and equipment at a major distribution site, with both reactive and proactive tasks to keep operations productive.

Key responsibilities include safety compliance, routine servicing, breakdown response, and regular inspections. The position is full‑time (39 hours per week) at Stafford North Park, with attractive benefits after service.

Qualifications

• Proficient in electrical and mechanical disciplines with a multi‑skilled approach.
• Hands‑on experience implementing and maintaining planned maintenance systems.
• Skilled at diagnosing and repairing a wide range of equipment.
• Able to read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Analytical problem‑solving with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Extensive fault‑finding experience across building systems (HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, electrical).
• Proficient with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health & safety best practices and compliance with standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing on equipment and systems.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and communicate effectively to fix issues.
• Conduct regular checks, inspections, and tests for safe operation.
• Maintain high equipment availability for internal customers.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
