Job summary

Lingfield Park Racecourse seeks a proactive maintenance specialist to uphold the condition of the racecourse and hotel facilities. You will manage day-to-day upkeep, preventative maintenance, safety checks, and coordination with hosting teams to ensure spaces are ready for guests and events.

We value a minimum of 3 years in general building maintenance (electrical, joinery, tiling, painting) and a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in general building maintenance including electrical work, joining, tiling, painting & decorating.
• Background in Racecourse, Sport, Leisure or hotel would be an advantage.
• High level of interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the racecourse and hotel plant and fabric to high standards within budget and keep facilities fully operational.
• Ensure all bedrooms and meeting rooms are available to let daily and liaise with Housekeeping.
• Implement and operate planned preventative maintenance for the hotel.
• Care for all plant and machinery.
• Carry out weekly fire tests and record them.
• Check emergency lighting and keep records up to date.
• Attend to plumbing and drainage issues promptly.
• Maintain buildings by decorating, plumbing, carpentry and general works.
• Develop maintenance schedules for hotel and estate assets to ensure high presentation standards.
• Keep historical maintenance records for all items.
