Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council seeks a Facilities Technician at Bingham Community Centre. You will deliver janitorial and basic maintenance across our estate, supporting moves and ensuring safe, clean buildings.

The role offers 12 hours per week with pro-rata pay (£27,257–£29,850). PVG checks apply; flexible hours and pension benefits are available to support balance with family, study or caring commitments.

Facilities Technician

Bingham Community Centre

Salary: £27,257 - £29,850(pro-rata for part-time)

Hours: 12 per week, 52 weeks

Working pattern for position is:

• Monday to Thursday 10am - 12:30pm
• Friday 10am - 12:00pm

As a Facilities Technician with the City of Edinburgh Council, you'll be a key member of our Facilities Management team. You'll deliver a vital janitorial service across our estate to ensure our properties are a safe places to workor learn in. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
