Job Description:

Facilities Team Leader required to join a growing Facilities and Site Services team for a space satellite research, design, and development facility. The Facilities Team Leader will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the facilities and site service team, ensuring fixes to production equipment and building systems, maintaining tidy and functional facilities, and supporting test sites and new infrastructure with machine shop fabrication, including welding.

Role requirements include experience with hazardous chemicals such as lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints, and other chemicals. The candidate should understand project requirements, identify appropriate designs, and support project implementation. Practical skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication are necessary, along with knowledge of machine shop equipment like lathes, saws, drills, and grinders.

Responsibilities include inspiring and motivating the team, assigning and monitoring daily tasks, overseeing facilities activities during program phases to ensure proper planning and resource allocation, and assisting the Head of Test, Facilities & Safety in maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within operational areas.
