Job summary

Amey Ltd in Leeds is hiring a permanent Facilities Team Leader for HMP Leeds. The role covers supervision of facilities services under contract, ensuring health and safety, and liaising with HMPS management.

The base salary is £35,143 to £41,341, with standard 39 hours per week. You will work Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday to Sunday 08:00-16:00, on a rota including 1 in 3 weekends with 15% basic salary allowance; a call-out rota paid separately.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities/estate management with a focus on safety and compliance.
• IT literate with ability to manage facilities systems and documentation.
• Facilities Management qualifications and/or IOSH certification are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in and supervise the delivery of facilities services to the prison in line with contractual commitments.
• Ensure health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises and equipment.
• Coordinate with HMPS management to meet expectations and timelines.
• Escalate problems promptly to ensure quick resolution.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Facilities Team Lead er in HMP Leeds, 2 Gloucester Terrace, Stanningley Road, Leeds LS12 2TJ.

The base salary is £35,143 - £41,341.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to wo rk on a rota basis betweenMonday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00; Friday to Sunday 08:00 - 16:00.There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary). There is also a call out rota, paid separately.

What you will do:

• Assist in and supervise the delivery of a range of facilities services to the prison in line with contractual commitments. Compliance focused.
• Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.
• Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with HMPS management to receive and manage expectations.
• Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.

What you will bring:

• A calm attitude under pressure to manage teams, work on own initiative, understand deadlines and priority.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
• IT Literate.
• Facilities Management qualifications and/or IOSH are advantageous.
• Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena and use of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
• A mechanical or plumbing background is ideal.
