Job summary

Amey in Liverpool is seeking a permanent Facilities Team Leader to supervise the delivery of facilities services at HMP Liverpool, ensuring health, safety and compliance while maintaining a reliable, well‑run site.

The role is on-site (39 hours per week) with a rota pattern: Mon–Thu 07:45–16:45 and Fri–Sun 07:45–15:45, plus 1 in 4 weekends on rota with a 15% weekend allowance.

You will support the MoJ contract, helping keep 60+ sites across England and Wales safe, clean and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Assist in and supervise the delivery of a range of facilities services to the prison in line with contractual commitments. Compliance focused.
• Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.
• Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with HMPS management to receive and manage expectations.
• Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Facilities Team Leader in HMP Liverpool, 68 Hornby Road, Liverpool, L9 3DF.

The base salary is £34,054 - £40,060.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between Monday to Thursday 07:45 – 16:45; Friday to Sunday 07:45 – 15:45. There will be a need to work 1 in 4 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).
