Equans is looking for a Facilities Team Leader to join our team at the New Victoria Hospital, Glasgow on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working on average 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of up to £45,000 per annum and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.
Are you an experienced electrical maintenance professional with proven supervisory experience? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Team Leader to join our dedicated team at New Victoria Hospital in Glasgow.
In this critical role, you'll ensure the safe and continuous operation of the hospital's electrical systems, building services, and specialist equipment. Working closely with the Technical Services Manager, you'll lead day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance, minor project works, and procurement of materials and services.
What will you deliver?
- Supervise and execute planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
- Manage unplanned events efficiently in line with SLA response times, minimizing disruptions and penalties.
- Issue and manage Permits-to-Work, reviewing relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Participate in out-of-hours (OOH) on-call rota and undertake overtime when required.
- Maintain compliance with SHTM standards, EQUANS safety protocols, and relevant statutory guidelines.
- Ensure the upkeep of essential hospital systems including fire alarms, AHUs, medical gas, and pressure/water systems.
- Act as Authorised Person (AP) for up to 3 key disciplines following specialist training.
- Liaise professionally with clients and contractors to deliver a high standard of service.
- Use and maintain specialist tools, test instruments, and calibration equipment with precision.
- Complete all required documentation electronically and manually as required.

Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience and proven track record in a supervisory role
- Hospital experience is desired but not essential
- You must have knowledge of CAFM systems
- SHTM experience is preferred but not essential
- Successful postholder must be able to obtain and maintain Disclosure Scotland to a Basic Level.
