We are seeking to appoint a Facilities Support Officer within the Facilities Management section of Property Services.

To provide Facilities Management Services to CYC buildings in accordance with contract and service specifications.

Supporting the Engineering Technology Services team looking after City of York Council buildings ensuring the effective delivery of management, business, and technical support systems, which are essential for the delivery of a value for money high performing customer focussed service.

Core Tasks Would Be

  • Payment of utility bills
  • Administration of service contracts such as passenger lift or fire alarm servicing as examples, to include liaison, bill payment and coordination.
  • Monitoring and reacting to incoming emails and phone calls to the facilities management helpdesk, arranging repairs and servicing.
  • Dealing with general enquiries and liaising with the team to find a resolution.

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • Experience in delivering FM based services.
  • External provider account liaison skills to represent CYC as a single point of contact.
  • A competent administrator capable of working on their own initiative.
  • A good understanding of a financial management system particularly raising orders to and paying external providers invoices.
  • Good interpersonal skills able to communicate at all levels.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
