Job summary

Merlin Entertainments operates Sea Life Blackpool and the Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse, and is seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor. You will oversee maintenance programs, manage contractors, and deliver projects on time and within budget while supporting an exceptional guest experience.

You will attend daily briefings, handle reactive tasks, and ensure safety across building infrastructure, AV, lighting, and live environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a similar role as a Maintenance Manager, Facilities Supervisor or Caretaker
• Hands-on maintenance experience, covering varied aspects of building infrastructure (Mechanical and Electrical working appreciation)
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary.
• Proven ability to competently select and manager contractors
• Experience working safely in a live public environment with a strong working appreciation of hazard control
• Ability to maintain the highest level of service in high-pressure and/or stressful situations
• Good customer service appreciation with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently

Responsibilities

• Ensure PPM, efficiency and safety of Sea Life Blackpool attraction and related facilities.
• Book and manage maintenance contractors for varied remedial requirements.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget with input from the General Manager.
• Attend daily briefings, respond to radio calls and handle reactive maintenance tasks.
• Cover facilities maintenance at Gruffalo and Friends Clubhouse in the same building.
• Support guest experience by maintaining high standards of service in a demanding environment.
