Adecco Romford & London East is seeking a proactive Facilities Supervisor to lead a small maintenance team in a busy healthcare environment in Hackney, London.

The role involves prioritising maintenance requests, coordinating contractors, ensuring PPM and safety compliance, and supporting on-call duties. DBS check is required and delivery of on-site facilities tasks is hands-on.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within facilities, estates, building maintenance or property services.
• Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance operations.
• Experience managing external contractors and service providers.
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, solve problems and lead a team effectively.
• Excellent organisational, communication and record-keeping skills.
• Practical maintenance experience and a willingness to be hands-on when required.

Responsabilités

• Lead, support and supervise a skilled maintenance team
• Allocate and prioritise maintenance requests through the helpdesk system
• Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed effectively
• Coordinate and manage contractors on site, including permits to work and compliance documentation
• Monitor statutory inspections, testing and servicing programmes
• Support fire safety improvement projects and health & safety initiatives
• Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
• Participate in the estates on-call rota for emergency response requirements

Position: Facilities Supervisor

Contract Type: Temporary (ASAP start, approx. 5 months)

Hours: 8am-4pm / 9am-5pm (+ a share of the estates on-call rota)

Pay: £19 - £20.75 per hour (+ holiday pay + benefits)

Key Responsibilities
