Job summary

Equans is seeking a Facilities Supervisor for the Brighton Law Courts site. This full-time, fixed-term role is 40 hours per week with a salary of £32,500 per annum, plus a benefits package.

The role includes supervising cleaning teams to meet high hygiene and safety standards and requires travel across the region. The candidate will oversee operations, support shift patterns, and participate in security vetting (BPSS and DBS).

Equans is looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join our team in Brighton Law Courts, The law Courts, Edward Street, Brighton, BN20LG . This is a full time role working 40 hours per week on a fixed term contract. On offer is a salary of £32,500.00 per annum depending on skills and experience and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday 0800 to 1700

What will you deliver?

Reporting to the area facilities Manager you will be the leading the cleaning teams for their HMCTS site that keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.

As a facilities Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising our cleaning teams to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and customer service is maintained across our large-scale government contract.

This is a Monday - Friday role, however there is some element of flexibility required with early starts, evening, and weekends. The role requires covering a region and therefore must be able to travel.

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential

BPSS Quick Guide

In order to meet our customers requirements, the post holder must go through Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). This is a form of Security Clearance set out by the Government which goes through several checks.

These checks typically include:

• Identity Verification: Passport, photo ID, birth certificate, etc.
• Employment History (past 3 years): Any gaps will require HMRC statements for the period in question.
• Right to Work Status in the UK: Citizenship or valid share code.
• Unspent Criminal Record: Disclosure of any unspent convictions.
• Significant Periods Abroad: Any periods of 6+ months spent abroad in the past 3 years.

Who are you?

Essential Criteria

• Experience of industry/public cleaning services
• Previous experience of supervising a cleaning team in multiple locations
• Able to motivate a cleaning team to attain a consistent specified standard of cleaning
• At least one years experience within customer focused environment.
• Basic knowledge on IT and Microsoft office systems.
• Ability to acquire BPSS vetting
• Ability to pass a DBS check

• Health and Safety Level 1 (inc. COSHH and Fire Safety)
• Infection control
