Job summary

Michael Page Property and Construction is seeking a Facilities Assistant to oversee facilities standards, contractor management, compliance activities and minor works. The role is based in Nottingham and Leicester, working with Engineering, Operations and SHEQ teams to drive site improvements and manage facilities issues through to resolution.

The successful candidate will coordinate maintenance, manage defects, and ensure permits, RAMS, inductions and site controls are in place while supporting

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management and coordination.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of contractor management, compliance and building services.
• Understanding of RAMS, permits, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities standards across offices, welfare areas, workshops, yards, walkways, signage and site services.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities and minor works projects.
• Manage facilities defects from identification through to completion.
• Coordinate contractors, ensuring appropriate permits, RAMS, inductions and site controls are in place.
• Support compliance activities including fire safety actions, inspections and audit readiness.
• Maintain accurate facilities records, action trackers and contractor documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, service quality and cost effectiveness.
• Work with site leadership teams to improve housekeeping, presentation and operational efficiency.
• Escalate facilities issues that may impact safety, compliance, operational performance or reputation.
