Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help the Defence operations run smoothly on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week and 49.2 weeks per year. You will support a facilities team, carry out minor repairs, manage site exterior upkeep, and assist with contractor sign-in procedures while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar facilities role.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure the exterior of the site is clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with contractor sign-in/out and site policy adherence.
• Open and/or close the building as required.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
