Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Northampton is seeking an experienced Facilities & Site Services Engineer to oversee the effective operation of all site services, facilities and utilities at their flagship UK site. The role combines hands-on fault-finding with proactive maintenance planning and contractor management.

You will ensure safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, boilers, compressed air and fire suppression.

Qualifications

• Senior facilities / site services engineer with hands-on experience.
• Experience managing compliance, contractors and suppliers.
• HNC / HND in facilities engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical & mechanical facilities engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with contractors and vendors.
• Knowledge of compressed air systems, HVAC, industrial boilers, fire suppression.
• Proactive mindset with ability to identify issues and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of all site services, facilities and utilities.
• Ensure safety, legislation compliance and reliability of equipment.
• Manage electrical infrastructure, extraction systems, HVAC, boilers, compressed air, gas distribution, water and fire suppression.
• 50% hands-on testing and fault finding on equipment.
• Monitor plant performance and plan maintenance activities.
• Suggest improvements and drive implementation.

They are looking for an experienced Facilities & Site Services Engineer to oversee the effective operation of all site services, facilities & utilities.

Role & Responsibilities of the Facilities & Site Services Engineer:

• Ensure safety, legislation compliance, reliability of all site services, facilities & utilities equipment
• Responsible for electrical infrastructure, extraction systems, HVAC, boilers, compressed air systems, gas distribution, water and fire suppression systems
• 50% hands-on - testing & fault finding on equipment
• Monitoring plant facilities performance, planning maintenance activities
• Suggesting and making improvements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience need to be a Facilities & Site Services Engineer:

• Looking an experienced senior facilities / site services engineer
• Happy to be hands-on resolving issues and hands-off managing compliance, contractors, suppliers
• HNC / HND qualified in facilities engineering
• Strong understanding of facilities engineering principles, both electrical & mechanical
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills - dealing with contactors, internal teams, vendors
• Knowledge of compressed air systems, HVAC, industrial boilers, fire suppression systems
• Proactive person - able to think outside the box, identify issues, suggest improvements
• Beneficial if dealt with hydraulics, valves, gearboxes, drives
