Job summary

Oak Tree School in Winnersh is seeking an Assistant Site Controller to maintain a safe, secure and well-functioning environment. You will work closely with the Site Manager and Operations Manager to ensure our school buildings, grounds and facilities are well maintained.

The role involves regular inspections and coordinating with contractors, plus routine safety checks including fire alarm testing and PAT testing; a driving license is desirable to assist staff travel where needed.

Qualifications

• A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations (or willingness to learn).
• An approachable, dependable team player who builds relationships with staff, students and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Security: regular inspections of premises, grounds and equipment; coordinate maintenance with contractors.
• Health & Safety Compliance: assist with routine safety checks including fire alarm testing, PAT testing, keeping the Fire Safety Logbook and care of the school minibus.
