Job summary

RG Setsquare in Worcestershire is seeking a Facilities Technical Officer to support the effective management of planned cyclical services and reactive maintenance across a range of housing and property assets. The role aims to keep buildings safe, compliant and well maintained, covering multiple property types from communal blocks to temporary accommodation.

A focus on building safety across gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene, asbestos and lift safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, property maintenance or building services.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and maintenance procedures.
• Experience with contractor management.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Strong technical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Hard Facilities Management: manage cyclical servicing schedules for building plant, equipment and maintenance systems.
• Review service reports and identify remedial actions.
• Allocate follow-up works to contractors and trades staff.
• Provide technical advice and support for repairs, servicing and planned maintenance.
