Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions in Basildon is seeking a Facilities, Health, Safety & Compliance Manager to lead all aspects of H&S, facilities and compliance across engineering and manufacturing sites. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on support and requires collaboration with project teams, managers and contractors.

The successful candidate will develop safety systems, manage RAMS and audits, drive continuous improvement, and foster a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in health & safety within engineering/manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and HSE requirements.
Proven experience conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Experience preparing and reviewing RAMS.
Experience managing compliance systems and contractor activities.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Lead health, safety, environmental, and compliance activities across the business.
Develop and maintain health and safety policies and RAMS in line with UK legislation.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including COSHH, PUWER, Fire Safety.
Conduct internal audits, site inspections, and contractor assessments.
Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
Oversee facilities management for workshop and office locations.
Promote a positive safety culture and provide training and inductions.
