Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Facilities Operatives (cleaning) at Sevenoaks Hospital. The role involves 20 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.92. Flexible working arrangements are encouraged, with benefits including NHS Pension and discounts.

Experience in Commercial Cleaning is welcomed; driving may be required for some duties. Automatic enrolment into the NHS Pension scheme and comprehensive leave provisions apply, with opportunities to support patient care

Qualifications

• Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.
• Knowledge of NHS Cleaning Standards 2025.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety practices.
• Recent cleaning experience.
• Experience in health and social care cleaning setting.
• Able to carry out manual tasks and use own initiative.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning to NHS standards and maintain cleanliness throughout assigned areas.
• Complete necessary paperwork related to cleaning duties.

Job description

This is primarily a hands-on cleaning position where you will learn all the back-ground skills and knowledge toenable you to complete the role, e.g. enhanced and periodic clean training, NHS National Cleaning standards,completion of paperwork, equipment training, COSHH, waste management and basic catering tasks., We know life outside work matters.
