Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Facilities Operative to carry out reactive and pre-planned maintenance tasks across MoD Corsham. You will work both independently and in a team, upholding Health & Safety standards and delivering contractual obligations to a high standard.

Main duties include performing regular PPMs, completing maintenance tasks on time, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining thorough records for all work orders.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-disciplinary works on large or complex estates.
• Proactive maintenance approach with eye for detail.
• Knowledge of Health & safety requirements (RAMS, permits, COSHH, manual handling, working at height).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and pre-planned maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Ensure Health & Safety and compliance across daily work.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for work orders.
• Walk the site and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Provide excellent customer service to occupants.

ROLE: Facilities Operative

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours

LOCATION: MoD Corsham – SN3 9ET

Mitie are recruiting a Facilities Operative to carry out a range of reactive and pre-planned maintenance tasks across MoD Corsham to ensure the estate is safe and compliant. You will be working within a team and by yourself, uphold Health & Safety standards and deliver the statutory and contractual obligations to the highest standard.

Main duties:

• Undertake regular PPM's in line with our schedule and deadlines
• Complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• Ensure Health & Safety and compliance across all aspects of daily work
• Ensure efficient use and safe storage of equipment
• Provide excellent customer service to occupants
• Provide accurate records and reports and maintain all assigned work order documentation
• Walk the site, reporting any maintenance or safety issues

What we are looking for:

• Experience in multi-disciplinary works on large or complex estates (secure/public sector or MOD highly desirable)
• A driven person who can demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance along with an eye for detail
• Knowledge of Health & safety requirements (RAMS, permits, COSHH, manual handling, working at height)
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
