Job summary

MASS Consultants Ltd in Corsham, Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the MOD facility upkeep, with on-site and weekend work. The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical inspections, basic plumbing, and fabric repairs, plus an on-call roster with up to 14 weekends per year.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, work on projects assigned by Supervising Engineers, and ensure logbook activities are completed.

Qualifications

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical Systems) or equivalent.
• Experience with facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of safe isolation of electrical supplies/procedures.
• Experience using AutoCAD Essentials or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Carrying project work as tasked by Supervising Engineers.
• Ensure scheduled logbook activities are completed.
• Work a minimum of one maintenance weekend per month up to a maximum of 14 weekends per year.

Our Corsham Facilities Management team are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our FM projects and the maintenance of the MOD facility.

How you’ll support us

This is an opportunity to be part of a team where you will have the opportunity to utilise your existing skills and develop the skills of those around you, this role is based on the customer site with an on-call roster and occasional weekend maintenance, up to a maximum of 14 weekends per year.

You’ll undertake and assist with both electrical and mechanical inspections, assist with general maintenance, basic plumbing and general building fabric repairs and maintenance.

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance and Installation (Mechanical Systems Maintenance) (1788-10) or equivalent
• Previous experience with Facilities Maintenance
• General knowledge of safe isolation of electrical supplies/procedures
• Experience of using AutoCAD Essentials or equivalent applications
• The candidate must be eligible for a UK NSV Clearance.
• UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Microsoft Word/Excel.
• C&G 2377 PAT testing or equivalent
