Job summary

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London seeks a Facilities Officer to support the Facilities team alongside teaching staff and students. You will handle maintenance, minor trades, security, post distribution, and room setup for classes and events.

The role is hands-on, with daily lifting and a monthly rota across early, middle, and late shifts between 07:00 and 22:00 on weekdays. Applicants should have broad practical skills, IT and building systems knowledge, and good fitness.

Qualifications

• Good level of fitness for lifting and carrying equipment.
• Broad practical skills across facilities tasks.
• Good communication and problem solving.
• Team-orientated approach and willingness to learn.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Teams and OneDrive.
• Ability to operate the Access Control System and use basic Building Management System functions.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance
• Doing minor plumbing, electrical and decorating work
• Monitoring the security of the buildings
• Distributing post
• Covering reception duties periodically
• Setting up rooms and equipment for classes and events when requested
• Interacting with teaching staff and students
• Lifting and carrying equipment and furniture daily under controlled conditions
• Operating the Access Control System
• Adjusting and reporting room temperatures using the Building Management System
• Accepting and reporting maintenance tasks
• Wearing the provided uniform and any personal protective clothing needed
