Reed is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for Milton Park, Oxford. This temporary contract role oversees day-to-day site operation, maintenance, safety compliance and contractor management across a multi-building site, with a hands-on approach to budgets and projects.

The role emphasizes leadership of the Facilities Team, adherence to UK H&S regulations, and delivery of planned maintenance programmes while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Facilities Management or similar.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance systems.
• Experience managing contractors, projects and facilities budgets.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience using CMMS or Facilities Management systems.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Hands-on role with site-based maintenance activities.

Responsabilités

• Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the site across multiple buildings.
• Deliver and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Manage contractors, supplier relationships, permits to work, RAMS and compliance documentation.
• Ensure the site remains compliant with all relevant Health & Safety and statutory regulations.
• Lead and support the Facilities Team, cleaning teams and external contractors.
• Manage HVAC, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Oversee inventory, assets, site security and controlled access procedures.
• Support facilities projects, office moves, space planning and future site developments.
• Manage facilities budgets, cost control and supplier contracts.
• Produce management reports and maintain accurate compliance records.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure high standards across all facilities operations.
