Job summary

Mid Devon Council in Tiverton is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of facilities management across the Council’s corporate and commercial property portfolio. Based in Tiverton with hybrid working, you will oversee hard and soft services, planned and reactive maintenance, compliance, capital projects, energy management and carbon reduction.

Qualifications

• Substantial building or facilities management experience.
• Sound knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety.
• Ability to manage projects, contracts and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead planned maintenance and lifecycle programmes across a diverse estate.
• Maintain statutory compliance, health and safety and risk registers.
• Manage facilities contracts, contractors, budgets and performance.
• Oversee mechanical/electrical works, refurbishments and property improvements.
• Drive energy efficiency, carbon reduction and environmental reporting.
• Maximise value and use of operational and commercial assets.
• Lead caretaking teams to deliver responsive, customer-focused services.
