Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance across our hotel portfolio. You will oversee trades, manage suppliers, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while driving cost-effective refurbishment projects.

You will mentor duty managers, develop SOPs, and champion energy-efficient initiatives, delivering a safe, well-maintained environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a hotel environment is implied by the role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Oversee plumbers, electricians and outside contractors to ensure work is completed to a satisfactory standard and workspace is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for all hotel and kitchen equipment, including health and safety items such as fire extinguishers, alarms and defibrillators.
• Liaise with the accounts department to ensure purchases align with the budget and that purchase orders are completed and approved.
• Establish an SOP guide for duty managers to follow on maintenance or health and safety issues; provide full training on this SOP.
• Reactively modify procedures and address reported incidents to minimize risk and recurrence.
• Monitor utilities and seek energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage refurbishment or capital expenditure projects cost-effectively in line with Dalata and safety standards.
• Set a good example for your team in work ethic, attitude, presentation, punctuality and attendance.
