Job description

Pareto is currently seeking a Facilities Manager/Building Services Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate should be a team player, willing to go above and beyond to achieve excellence, and supportive of customer needs.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, BMS controls, and general building services.
  • Ability to work independently with high-quality standards.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems, and building construction.
  • Familiarity with risks and hazards in a public attraction environment.
  • Minimum of L8 Awareness formal training.
  • Understanding of legal compliance and maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to innovate and improve existing systems and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee timely completion of maintenance and reactive tasks related to client assets, serving as the first response for M&E and fabric issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and efficiency of M&E installations, including fire safety and security systems, liaising with client staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage documentation according to standards, including statutory testing and inspections.
  • Perform maintenance on M&E services, including electrical, heating, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Ensure work quality, budget adherence, and client satisfaction, reporting regularly to the Senior Account Manager and client liaison.
  • Support subcontractors in routine and emergency maintenance, including out-of-hours work.
  • Assist in setting maintenance priorities, planning, budgeting, and project preparation.
  • Coordinate with project professionals and contribute to site and maintenance information sharing.
  • Develop and promote best practices in M&E maintenance and procedures.
  • Participate in site, property, and safety teams, providing technical input on various initiatives.
  • Implement and support the Asset Management Plan in collaboration with the client.
  • Handle additional tasks as directed by the client and Senior Account Manager.
  • Act as the primary contact for client issues, owning service delivery on-site.
  • Manage monthly financials in collaboration with the Senior Account Manager.

Qualifications:

Recognized relevant Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualifications.
