Job summary

Robertson Facilities Management in Invergordon is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the operational delivery of services at Invergordon Community Hospital and surrounding sites. You will manage service delivery plans, budgets, and risk, while coaching staff to meet contract KPIs and improve performance.

The role requires experience in hard services FM, subcontractor management, and audit capability. A driving licence and IOSH or equivalent safety qualification are expected, with strong

  • Experience managing multi-disciplined/Hard service FM teams.
  • Pragmatic and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience in subcontractor management.
  • Audit experience across quality, H&S and FSA.
  • Health and safety qualification such as IOSH.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CAFM systems.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

  • Operational delivery of services.
  • Deliver and monitor the Service Delivery Plans and KPIs.
  • Establish, monitor and supplement resource levels to comply with contract requirements.
  • Facilitate development of robust risk management processes and jeopardy management.
  • Support the Continuous Improvement Programme and drive contract development, including innovation and best practice.
  • Encourage, coach and manage the effective performance of people and develop them to meet contract requirements.
  • Management of site budgets to ensure contract activity is delivered on time and cost effectively.
  • Conduct audits and workplace inspections on a regular schedule.
  • Implement Quality, SHEQ policies in line with Robertson processes and client requirements.
  • Develop relationships with client management teams to ensure delivery of contract.
  • Ensure training plans and appraisals for staff and opportunities for growth are completed.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth and present them to line manager.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 38.75 hours per week

Contract: Full time, permanent

What you’ll do:
  • Responsibility for the operational delivery of services.
  • Deliver and monitor the Service Delivery Plans and KPIs.
  • Establish, monitor, and supplement resource levels to comply with contract requirements.
  • Facilitate the development of robust risk management processes and procedures including jeopardy management.
  • Support the Continuous Improvement Programme and identify issues to drive forward contract development, including but not limited to, innovation, best practice and in line with Robertson processes.
  • Encourage, coach, support and manage the effective performance of people and develop them to meet the contract requirements.
  • Management of site budgets to ensure contract activity is completed to time and cost effective in line with scheduled KPIs.
  • Conduct audits and workplace inspections on a regular, agreed schedule in line with the service delivery plan.
  • Implement Robertson’s integrated policies on Quality, SHEQ in conjunction with support teams and the client’s requirements.
  • Ensure defined H&S responsibilities and accountability are established and regular reviews are undertaken.
  • To develop relationships and partnerships with client management teams to ensure delivery of contract.
  • Ensure personal achievement and development plans/Appraisals for staff under their control are completed and reviewed each year and ensure training requirements are delivered.
  • Ensure all opportunities for organic growth are presented to line manager.
What you’ll need:
  • Experience managing multi-disciplined/Hard service FM teams.
  • A pragmatic and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience in subcontractor management.
  • Ability to undertake a range of audits from quality, H&S and FSA.
  • A recognised health and safety qualification e.g. IOSH.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of auditing and the use of auditing tools.
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of CAFM systems.
  • Proficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc).
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.

The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check.

Who we’re looking for:

The Facilities Manager requires the ability to manage client relations, team management, and supplier management with a motivation to continuously improve all aspects of the operation and quality of service delivery as per our business strapline value of ingenuity at work. Produce reports on performance of Regional Team, respond to all site issues.

Overall responsibility for the Operational Delivery of all services within the Regional area and surrounding areas.
