Job Purpose:

To manage the operation and maintenance of the buildings, equipment, furnishings, grounds, and all related regulatory agencies (facilities). The facilities include structures, grounds, and utilities such as heating, air conditioning, power, water, and electrical systems. The role is to ensure the proper and safe functioning of all facilities, oversee facility planning, construction, remodeling, and repair, and monitor energy savings and environmental impact for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Facilities management including planning and development.
  2. Managing repairs and maintenance budgets.
  3. Managing subcontractors, including performance and cost reviews.
  4. Being flexible to be on-site to coordinate with contractors, including occasional weekend or night work.
  5. Serving as key holder and contact for security outside working hours.
  6. Handling landlord requests and lease negotiations.
  7. Planning and budgeting facility modifications, relocations, expansions, and refurbishments.
  8. Overseeing facilities operations, maintenance, repairs, installations, and construction.
  9. Managing exterior maintenance, landscaping, and security contractors.
  10. Monitoring and maintaining parking facilities.
  11. Promoting positive relationships within the team, contractors, and location.
  12. Maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures with HSE collaboration.
  13. Participating in site improvements and ensuring timely completion of maintenance functions.
  14. Contributing to calibration processes when applicable.
  15. Ensuring effective communication and coordination with employees and management.
  16. Developing and implementing facilities and maintenance policies and procedures.
  17. Performing routine repairs (e.g., display setup, desk alterations, door handle replacement).
  18. Supporting IT infrastructure and desktop setup.
  19. Managing visitor access, including international visitors.
  20. Performing additional duties as required.
Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.

Experience: Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management and project management, or equivalent combined education and experience.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.

Other Skills: Knowledge of construction and building systems repair/maintenance, ability to manage multiple priorities, strong judgment, and decision-making skills, excellent communication, and relationship management skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and flexibility in working hours.

Additional preferred skills include experience in aerospace or aircraft manufacturing facilities, large-scale project management, and familiarity with UK environmental regulations.
