Job description

Opportunity to join a long established Cambridge manufacturer as the Facilities Manager of their state-of-the-art facility. You will oversee total FM for the organisation, ensuring the site is fully compliant and fit for purpose for all staff and visitors. The site includes office space, meeting rooms, clean rooms, communal areas, and a cafe.

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the premises, including oversight of property management and facility management, budgeting, and providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors. You will lead the Facilities Management delivery for hard and soft services across the estate, ensuring all health and safety and other compliance requirements are met.

Core duties:
  1. Implement Facilities Management processes & procedures
  2. Ensure building meets compliance regulations
  3. Manage cleaning, security, property / grounds maintenance
  4. Supervise a small team of FM operatives
  5. Liaise with tenants, employees, and visitors to the site
  6. Ensure the site is safe and fit for purpose
The Successful Applicant
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team leadership, including understanding how to create a strong, effective, and professional team
  • Experience delivering fitout / CAPEX projects
  • Proven track record of delivering TFM (security, cleaning, property/grounds maintenance)
  • Experience setting up new FM processes / mobilisation
  • Budgeting and financial management skills
  • NEBOSH certifications
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Flexible with the ability to prioritise effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment
