Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Burnley on a permanent basis. You will support the maintenance of school premises, organise PPM schedules and assist the technical team across sites. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities as required.

The role focuses on routine maintenance, inspections and reporting, ensuring materials and waste handling comply with safety standards. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.

• General DIY knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Organise, manage and monitor PPMs.
• Rectify corrective works raised on completed PPMs.
• Assist the technical team with issues across the sites when required.
• Carry out minor routine maintenance tasks in accordance with the PPM programme.
• Monitor and adjust plant and systems to perform within set limits.
• Conduct internal and external routine inspections of school premises.
• Assist in preparation of reports and maintain records.
• May support out of hours activities including on-call when required.
• Ensure adequate supplies and consumables for job completion.
• Ensure safe handling of waste.
