Job summary

Reed Engineering in Exeter is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support plant equipment, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and maximise site uptime. You will work as part of a driven engineering team and report to the Engineering Manager.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out boiler maintenance, and ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and COSHH standards on a busy manufacturing site in Exeter.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out boiler maintenance and checks.
• Maintain steam, condensate, compressed air, and pressure systems.
• Issue Permits to Work and Isolation Certificates.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and environmental standards.
• Record maintenance activities and manage spare parts requirements.
• Support contractors and production teams when required.

Location: Exeter | Full-Time: 37.5 Hours |

Reed Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in Exeter for a Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and ensuring maximum uptime across the site.

Shift Pattern (3-Week Rotation)

• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 8:00am - 4:00pm
• 10:00am - 6:00pm
