Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Deeside

Days: Monday to Friday

My client, a market leader within their industry, is looking for a Facilities Engineer to join the team and ensure the building, utilities, and services are maintained. This progressive business offers opportunities for ambitious facilities technicians to participate in exciting projects and contribute to business growth. The role provides long-term job security and opportunities for technical development.

Role Description
  • Work with the Facilities Manager to ensure all building fabrics, services, facilities, housekeeping, and grounds are maintained.
  • Perform repairs in carpentry, plumbing, lighting, decorating, and lock fixing.
  • Assist or carry out testing on fire alarms, intruder systems, emergency lights, water systems, and portable appliances, or coordinate with subcontractors.
  • Participate in specific projects as required.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot issues across the business.
  • Take responsibility for new projects within the department.
  • Collaborate with team members and challenge current practices constructively.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Full UK driving license is essential.
  • City & Guilds, BTEC, or apprenticeship training.
  • Desired: IPAF, PASMA, IOSH certifications.
