Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity for two Facilities Maintenance Technicians to join our team at Florette in Lichfield, WS13 8NF. Working a rotating double day Panama shift, you will perform general repairs and maintenance tasks on our water treatment plant, factory, and site grounds. Our on-site Water Treatment plant handles waste washings from our manufacturing processes. We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills to operate and maintain the Treatment Plant. On-site training is available for those looking to develop in this industry.

This is a physically active role involving Manual Handling, Lone Working, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, and more. You will manage plant operations to ensure compliance with permits, keep detailed records of testing, and have knowledge of environment agency discharge consents, which would be advantageous. A valid driving license is required to operate yard tractors and trailers on site.

Working Hours

Days: 05:30 am - 04:00 pm / 12:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Rotating Panama Shift: 4 days on, 5 days off / 5 days on, 4 days off / 5 days on, 5 days off.

Salary

£34,000 per annum (approximately £19.60 per hour based on hours worked).

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks of the plant and water quality hourly, daily, and weekly.
• Monitor cooling towers, sample, replenish chemicals, and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform general maintenance and DIY tasks.
• Maintain site trailers to ensure roadworthiness.
• Complete all necessary PPMs.
• Report problems affecting the water treatment plant immediately to minimize downtime.

Skills and Experience Required

• Qualifications related to water treatment and/or maintenance are preferred.
• Knowledge of Water Treatment Plants, ideally in a food production environment.
• Understanding of animal feed supply and control.
• Ability to operate yard tractors and trailers confidently.
• High attention to detail for observation and record-keeping.
• Legionella and Confined Space Awareness are highly desirable.
