Job summary

De La Rue plc is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team at our Debden site in Essex. You will plan maintenance activities, drive asset care, and deliver safe, efficient engineering support across the facility.

You will manage a team of eight, champion lean practices, and use data to optimise performance, meeting department KPIs while ensuring safe operations and effective resource use.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering background with apprentice training and HNC in Engineering.
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent, CI qualifications/experience preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience leading teams.
• ILM certificate or equivalent training/experience.
• Self-motivated with limited supervision.
• Attention to detail and self-starter mindset.
• Strong drive for driving improvements and efficiencies.
• Good time management and prioritising ability.
• Computer literate; able to document and report.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage shift-based maintenance teams; ensure KPI alignment.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment/process breakdowns promptly with the team.
• Prioritise issues and apply problem-solving to reduce impact.
• Deliver asset care program via TPM/PPM activities and improvements.
• Manage shift coverage and lean initiatives across the site.
• Utilise CMMS data to identify failure modes and corrective actions.
• Maintain spares inventory within budget and procurement needs.
• Support and organise project and improvement programs.
• Produce engineering reports and monthly data outputs.
• Collaborate with operations to improve productivity and efficiency.
