Job summary

FM Conway is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Operative to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities at the Sevenoaks head office. You will perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, finishing, general building and external works, contributing to a safe and well-maintained site.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and diagnose faults.
• Complete planned maintenance works per schedules and compliance requirements.
• Support wider facilities team with HVAC, electrical and mechanical tasks when required.
• Carry out general building repairs including carpentry, painting, fittings and flooring.
• Maintain accurate records of carpentry and maintenance work.
• Identify and report safety concerns or hazards related to water systems and leaks.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team on larger renovation or improvement projects.

Job description

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Operative to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities.

As our Facilities Maintenance Operative you will carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks including but not limited to carpentry, finishing, general building and external works.

This is a permanent, full-time position based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent.

The duties of the Facilities Maintenance Operative role will include:

• + Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests and effectively diagnose faults
• + Completing planned maintenance works in accordance with schedules, specifications, and compliance requirements
• + Supporting the wider facilities team in maintaining other building systems such as HVAC, electrical and mechanical when required
• + Completing general building repairs including minor carpentry, painting, fittings and flooring tasks
• + Maintaining accurate records of completed carpentry and maintenance work in line with company procedures
• + Identifying and reporting any safety concerns or potential hazards related to water systems and leaks
• + Working with the wider maintenance team on larger renovation or improvement projects

You will have experience in carpentry maintenance and repair within commercial or industrial environments, along with a good understanding of other basic building systems.

An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry or City and Guilds in Carpentry is desirable.

You must have a full UK driving licence and be confident using mobile devices to complete tasks.
